Laura Elizabeth Dern was born on 10th February 1967 to Bruce Dern and Diane Ladd. She started to receive acting training from the coach Sandra Seacat in 1984. She was known for her roles in movies such as Mask, and Blue Velvet. She filmed Wild at Heart for 4 years before it was released. Later, she starred in the movie Inland Empire. She and her mother received nomination for Academy Award in the film, Rambling Rose. She also starred in the movie, Jurassic Park (1993) as Dr. Ellie Sattler. She played as Ruth in the film, Citizen Ruth (1996). She was featured in the music video album, Widespread Panic for the song Aunt Avis. The music video was directred by his future fiance. She costarred along with Jodie Foster in the film, The Baby Dance. She starred in HBO's Enlightened in October 2011. She starred alongside with Amy Adams and Philip Seymour Hoffman in the film, The Master (2012). She is currently filming two movies including When the Game Stands Tall (2014) and Strings (2014).
