Sally Margaret Field was born on 6th November 1946 In Pasadena, California. Her first appearance is as a surfer girl who is crazy for boys in Gidget (1965-1966). She received 8 nominations for Golden Globe and Oscar awards. She won 2 Golden Globe and Oscar awards including one award for Norma Rae and Places in the Heart. She is well known for her role as Elsie Ethrington in the TV series, The Flying Nun (1967-1970). The theme song in the movie, The Flying Nun was sang by her. She has a hit single, Felicidad that is listed in the top one hundred songs in Billboards. She played as Mary Todd Lincoln in the Steven Spielberg directed movie, Lincoln (2012). Her role in this movie receive many positive reviews from fans. She gained weight for her role in Lincoln, which led to her suffering from knee injury later. She suffered from osteopororsis.
