James High Calum Laurie was born on June 11, 1959 in Oxford, Oxford shire, England. James is a writer, comedian, film director, voice actor, musician and singer. He has appeared in House, a film that saw him win the Screen Actor Guild Award and two Golden Globe awards. He also got six nominations for Emmy Awards. He is the last born in a family of four; Janet and Susan and an older brother called Charles Alexander Lyon Mundell Laurie. He was born to Patricia and William George Randall Mundell Laurie, a doctor. He went to Selwyn College, Cambridge, where he did a degree in anthropology and archaeology. He got married to Jo Green who was a theatre administrator back in 1989. The couple has two sons and one daughter, Charlie, Bill and Rebecca. He has released a number of movies for his music career such as Let Them Talk, Didn’t it Rain and singles such as Wild Honey and You Don’t Know My Mind. He has made appearances in films such as The Crystal Cube and The Cellar Tapes.
