Tabassum Hashmi who is popularly known as “Tabu’”was born on November 4, 1971 in HyderabadIndia. She is famous for her role in Hindu movies. Tabassum has also acted in a few Hollywood films. In 1983, she moved to Mumbaiwhere she went to st .Xavier’s college. She has been able to win national film awards for best actress two times. Maachis is one of her best performances. She has also gained a lot of popularity from the movie “namesake” where she played the role of MiraNair. She is the daughter of Jamal Hashmi and Rizwana who was a school teacher. She is the sister of Farah naaz. Hasmi can speak Telugu, Hindi, Urdu and english. She has played a role in different films such as prem, coolie no .1, sisisndri, haqeet,kalapani,jeet, the namesake, fanaa, sarhad paar, shock and silsiilay.She has had several awards with regards to her career.
