She is the daughter of Jamal Hashmi and Rizwana who was a school teacher. She is the sister of Farah naaz. Hasmi can speak Telugu, Hindi, Urdu and english. She has played a role in different films such as prem, coolie no .1, sisisndri, haqeet,kalapani,jeet, the namesake, fanaa, sarhad paar, shock and silsiilay.She has had several awards with regards to her career.
