Andy Serkis mini bio:

Andy Clement G. Serkis was born on 20 April 1964 in Ruislip Manor in West London. His mother Lylie was English and his father was of Armenian ethnicity. He studied visual arts and theater at Lancaster University. He acted as a rebellious teenager taking a teacher as hostage in Barrie Keeffe's Gotcha by the end of his first year.. He also had promised to take up roles in a number of productions. Because of this, he changed the primary subject of the degree he is taking to acting. He appeared in several television shows including Finney, Oliver Twist, Topsy Turvy, Pandaemonium, Shiner and The Lord of the Rings. He played as Gollum in The Lord of the Rings. He weared a Lycra bodysuit covered with sensors when fiming as Gollum in the Lord of The Rings. After he became famous through acting in the Lord of the Rings, he acted in other films such as King Kong (2005), Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011), Tintin (2011), and The Hobbit (2012).
