Laura Smet mini bio: Laura Smet was born on 15th November 1983 in Paris, France to Nathalie Baye and Johnny Hallyday. She enjoyed watching the movie, The Night of the Hunter (1955). Her manager, Dominique Besnehard is her godmother. She is a companion of the author The movie gives her the first memory of cinema because her grandfather brought her to watch it at the cinema. She received acting lessons under the coach of Raymond Aquaviva. She took up acting because Xavier Giannoli wanted to cast her as Charlotte, a young patient suffering from cancer in the film, Les corps impatients. She was nominated for the Cesar Award for Promising Actress for the movie. She starred the film, The Bridesmaid (2003) which was based on the novel authored by Frédéric Beigbeder. Ruth Rendell. Smet received the Prix Romy Schneider award in 2004. She starred in Le Passager de l'été. She also starrred as Caroline in the film, L'Heure zéro.
