Mindy’s full name is Vera Mindy Chokalingam. The actress was born on June 24, 1979. She is the daughter of  Tamil parents from India in Cambridge, MA. Her mother, Swati, is an ob/gyn while her father, Avu, is an architect. The actress got her name Mindy as their parents wanted a cute American name for her. She got her name Mindy because of the television show Mork & Mindy. The actress attended Buckingham Browne & Nichols school in Cambridge for high school before attending college at Dartmouth. Mindy has written produced and directed various episodes of “The Office”. She is famous for her roles in the films “This Is the End”, “Wreck-It Ralph”, and “The Five-Year Engagement”. Mindy has won an award for her movie “This Is the End” in the year 2013.
