Mike Smith was born on 27th August, 1972 in Thorburn, Canada and he was raised in Thorburn by his parents. Mike Smith was interested in playing hockey during his childhood but at the age of seven, he learnt playing guitar and this was how he exactly showed his musical intelligence to the people. Mike Smith continued with playing guitar and hockey and their two hobbies became a major part of his life. Soon after, Mike gave up hockey and he concentrated on his music skills and turned out to be a successful musician. Mike Smith’s career in music began to take off in the year 1992. He joined the band Sandbox where he mastered his music skills. After some time, this band signed to a record deal and Mike Smith bagged many awards for it such as the Casby award, the East Coast Music award etc.
