Nasir bin olu dara jones was born on September 14, 1973 in crown heights, Brooklyn, NewYork.He is popularly known as nas.Nasir is an actor,rapper and songwriter.Hehas his own recording label, magazine publishing and retail sneaker store. “Live at the barbeque” was his first break through in music.He is one of the top popular hip hop artists. He is the son of FannieAnn jones, a postal service worker and olu dara, a jazz and blues musician. Nasir has only one brother, jabari fret.He dated mar j. Blige for a short time. He got married to kelis in 2005.they had a son,knight before getting divorced in 2010. Being an actor he has made appearances in a number of films which include ticker, belly, in too deep, black nativity and sacred is the flesh. He has won several awards and got nominations for his different professions.
