Emir Kusturica mini bio:

Emir Kusturica was born on 24th November 1954 in Sarajebo to Murat Kusturica and Senka Numankadić. He won the Palme d' Or two times at the Cannes for the movies. He graduated from FAMU at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Kusturica. He won the Silver Lion award at the Venice Film Festtival for the movie Black Cat, White Cat. He was the director of Super 8 Stories. Super 8 Stories is a documentary movie about The No Smoking Orchestra. His first appearance in feature film is in the film, Do You Remember Dolly Bell? His second feature film is When Father Was Away on Business (1985). Beasides earning the Palme d'Or award, the When Father Was Away on Business (1985) film also earned 5 Yugoslavia awards. He co-wrote the screenplays with Abdulah Sidran for Do You Remember Dolly Bell? and When Father Was Away on Business (1985). He also directed other films including All The Invinsible Children, Life Is a Miracle, Promise Me This, Wild Roses and Tender Roses.
