Thomas Jeffrey Hanks was born on July 9, 1956 in concord, California. Hanks is the son of Amos Mefford Hanks was an itinerant cook and mother, Janet Marylyn who was a hospital worker. Hanks later moved to New York in 1979 where his success story has been flowing. He is an actor,screen writer, producer, director and speaker. He was married ton Samantha Lewes from 1978 to 1987.Currently he is married to Rita Wilson whom he married in 1988; they met on the show bosom buddies. Tom has become popular for the roles he played in several movies such as the da Vinci code, Forrest Gump, you’ve got mail, a league of their own and Apollo 13.His career in acting has led him to get several awards such as the golden globe awards for the best actor, people’s choice award for best actor in Forrest Gump. He has acted in several school plays.
