Stephen John Coogan was born on the 14th October 1965 in Middleton, Greater Manchestor, England to Kathleen and Athony Coogan. He wrote and starred in The Parole Officer, which was nominated for BAFTA Award for Best Newcomer. He played as Tony Wilson in the film, 24Hour Party People (2002). The film was nominated for Empire Award for Best British Actor and Online Film Critics Society Award for Best Breakthrough Performance. He appeared as Charley in Happy Endings (2005). He played as Ambassador mercy in Marie Antoinette (2006). He played as Paul Michael son in the Loop (2009). His voiced as Raisin in Marmaduke (2010). He also voiced as Silas Ramsbottom in Despicable Me 2. He wrote the scripts for several films including Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa (2013) and Philomena (2013). He also appeared in many TV series including The Day Today (1994), Coogan's Run (1995), Knowing Me Knowing You with Alan Partridge (1994-1994), I'm Alan Partridge (1997-2002), The Private Life of Samuel Pepys (2003), and The Simpsons (2012).
