She is a child actor and model with performances in over 20 movies and TV series and over 60 commercials; she is recognized for her character as the aspirant young age dancer CeCe Jones on the Shake It Up, Disney Channel original series. The first movie appearance of Thorne was an unaccredited character as a sidelines admirer in the film Stuck on You in 2003.
