Ermes Effron Borgnine

Ermes Effron Borgnine was born in Connecticut however his parents migrated from Italy to US. After 1945 he did some factory jobs but his mother suggested that the forceful personality made him suitable for acting.  He enrolled in Randall school of Drama Hartford and in 1949 acted in Broadway play called “Harvey”. In the year 1951, Ermes moved to Los Angeles and acted in the first movie called the whistle at Eaton falls.  By 1953, he had taken a big step to stardom when Ermes acted as Sergeant Fatso in the movie called from here to eternity.  Till now the veteran actor has participated in more than 100 feature films.  Apart from displaying his acting talent, he has also given voiceovers in different animated films. He breathed his last in the year 2012 at Sinai Medical center in Los Angeles.
