Karel Gott mini bio: Karel Gott was born on 14th July 1939. He is a singer, actor, songwriter and painter. He took part in the amateur singing contest at Prague Slavonic House in 1958. He studied opera from Feodor Challapin at the Prague Conservatory. The first single he debut is Suprophon (1962). The single feature a duet with Vlasta Průchová. He received an offer in the Prague Semafor Theater in 1963. It was at this theater that he learned how to communicate with the audience while singing on the stage. He also released a Czech solo single called Moon River. He and his 2 brothers including Jiří and Ladislav Štaidl, launched the Apollo Theater in 1965. :ayer, he started to write his own lyrics. He debuted his first album called Karel Gott Sings in 1965. He became famous locally in the 1970s and internally in 1980s. He ended his career with a farewell tour in 1990. he won The Golden Nightingale Award in 1996.
