Willem Dafoe mini bio:

William J. Dafoe is also known as Willem Dafoe was born on July 22, 1955. He  is an American stage, film as well as a voice actor. He is also the member of the experimental theater company “The Wooster Group”. Dafoe has been nominated twice for the Academy Award as the Best Supporting Actor for his movie “Platoon” in 1986 and for “Shadow of the Vampire” in 2000. Dafoe was born  in Appleton, Wisconsin. He was one of seven children of Muriel Isabel  and Dr. William Alfred Dafoes. When Dafoe was in high school, he acquired the nickname Willem. He had a personal relationship with  Elizabeth LeCompte. They eventually split in 2004. Willem has a dual Italian and American citizenship. The movie “Nymphomaniac”, “Out of the Furnace” and “A Most Wanted Man” all of  which are post-productions have won awards in 2013.
