Danny Elfman mini bio:

Very often referred to as 'Hollywood's hottest film composer', Daniel Robert Elfman is the songwriter, composer and lead singer of the rock band Oingo Boingo. Formed originally with his brother in Paris, it was earlier known as 'Mystic Knights of Oingo Boingo'. His work first came to light with 'Forbidden Zone' which was directed by his elder brother Richard Elfman and has been immortalized by his fans. He has done interesting work in the industry with the most famous being 'The Simpsons theme song and Tim Burton's Batman series theme song. Nominated for four Academy Awards, he has won a Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Composition Written for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media for his work on the Batman theme song. An Emmy Award for ‘Desperate Housewives’ theme song and Richard Kirk Award given to a composer who has made a significant contribution to the film and music television industry at the BMI Film and TV awards in 2002 are also his claim to fame.
