James Earl Jones mini bio: James Earl Jones was born on 17th January 1931 to Robert Earl and Ruth Connolly Jones. He is of African, Irish, and Native American descents. He suffered from stuttering problem when young. However, he managed to overcome it with his bass voice. He started his stage acting career by joining Ramsdell Theatre in Manistee, Michigan. He was a stage actor and manager from 1955-1957. His first stage appearance is in Othello by Shakespeare. He also appeared in the ABC's anthology series, Theatre -Five. He appeared in the film, Claudine (1974) alongside with Diahann Carroll. He held the role as Thulsa Doom in the film, Conan the Barbarian. He voiced as Darth Vader in the first Star Wars movie. He voiced as Mufasa in the Disney animated film, The Lion King and The Lion King II: Simba's Pride. Besides, he also voiced as Emperor of the Night in the film, Pinoccio and the Emperor of the Night. sponsored:
