Matt Groening mini bio:

Matthew Abram Groening was born on 15th February 1954 in Portland, Oregon. He did not like to study but he showed interests in drawing. He drawed a comic strip called Life in Hell in the mid 1980s. The comic strip was later published in the newspaper company that he worked. James L. Brooks happened to find someone to fill in the TV show The Tracey Ullman Show. He saw the framed Life in Hell strip on his wall and decided to hire Groening. He created the animated shorts, “The Simpsons” in 1989. He named the characters in The Simpsons after his parents and siblings. For example, he named Bart, the father of Simpson, after his own father Brat. He portrated all authority figures as buffoons in the show. Now, the entertainment series, The Simpsons had been in the air for 30 years. It has earned ten Emmy Awards. Groening had created Futurama to increase reputation of the Simpsons.
