Yvonne Catterfeld was born on the 2nd December 1979 in Erfurt, Thuringia in East Germany. She played piano and flute simultaneously starting at 15 years old. She took Pop and Jazz courses for 2 years at the Felix Mendelssohn College of Music and Theatre in Leipzig. She had released 5 albums including Meine Welt (2003), Farben meiner Welt (2004), Unterwegs (2005), Aura (2006), and Blau im Blau (2010). She has several popular singles including Für dich from the album Meine Weltreached, Du hast mein Herz gebrochen, from the album Farben Meiner Welt,  Glaub an mich from the album Unterwegs, and Erinner' mich Dich zu vergessen from the album Aura. She voiced as German dubbing Angie in The Shark Tale (2004) She appeared in movies such as Sophie – Braut wider Willen (2005), Keinohrhasen (2007), Eine Frau wie Romy as Romy Schneider (2009), and The Promise (2010). She appeared in a number of TV series including Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten (2001-2005), Hallo Robbie! (2005), Tatort (2005) and SOKO 5113 (2007).
