Carrie Anne Moss was born on the 21st August 1967 in Burnaby, British Columbia to Melvyn and Barbara Moss. Moss joined the children's musical theater in Vancouver when she was 11 years old. She joined a choir and traveled around Europe with her school choir in her senior year. Her first television appearance was in the drama series Dark Justice. She was offered the television role in Dark Justice when she was in Spain. To film the series, she relocated from Barcelona to Los Angeles, California. When she returned, she took part for the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena. Her most famous movies are Trinity, Matrix Reloaded and The Matric Revolutions. She starred in the movies, The Crew and Red Planet in year 2000. She also starred in the movie, Chocolat by Miramax later. The film, Chocolat, was later nominated for an Oscar. She starred along with Guy Pearce in the thriller film, Memnto, which was directed by Christopher Nolan. She was awarded with the Independent Spirit Award for the film.
