He is the son of Phillip Cameron and Shirley. He studied physics from FullertonCollege. He was the writer, producer and director of his first film xenogenesis.The terminator2: judgement day saw him win the science fiction and fantasy writers of America. James got married to Sharon Williams from 1978 to 1984.from 1985 to 1989 he was married to gale Anne hurd. He was married to Kathryn Bigelow from 1989 to 1991.he later married Linda Hamilton and currently he is married to suzy Amis.
