Daniel Patrick Pugh claim to fame is as a sports anchor, a writer, a reporter and as a radio host. The various achievements of his life in these various roles speak for themselves to define his talent. In 1998, he won a Sports Emmy Award for Outstanding Sports Personality, Studio Host and was named by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association as the National Sportscaster of the Year in 2000. He had a successful eighteen year long career with ESPN which he left in 2007. With his retirement from ESPN he grabbed other opportunities lying in his wait; became a senior writer for Sports Illustrated and started hosting a radio show (syndicated), 'The Dan Patrick Show' which later on, in 2010 went on to being simultaneously broadcasted on various sports networks.
