Billy Bob Thornton mini bio: William Robert or Billy Bob Thornton as he was popularly known as was born in the city of Hot Springs in the State of Arkansas on August 4, 1955. His father was William Raymond Thornton and mother was Virginia R. Faulkner. Billy Bob Thornton has been married five times and he has four children. He began his artistic career as a musician. He played drums and sang in a band called “Tres Hombress”. It was in 1981 that he moved to Los Angeles with his childhood friend Tom Epperson so that he could start his acting and writing career. It was in the year 1992 that Billy Bob starred in “One False Move”. He rose into prominence in the movie “Sling Blade” (1996) which he wrote and also directed. Billy Bob has many tattoos mostly on his arms as well as on his lower back and hips.
