Ellen PhilpottsPage was born on February 27, 1987 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She is the daughter to Martha Philpotts who is a teacher and Dennis Page who is a graphic designer. She was one of the 30 celebrities who participated in an online ad series for U.S. Campaign for Burma meant to end dictatorship. This campaign led to the end of the military dictatorship in Myanmar. She describes herself as a pro-choice feminist. She has starred in Hard Candy and has gained praise for one of the most complex, disturbing and haunting performances of the year. She has appeared in X-Men: The Last Stand as Kitty Pryde commonly known as the Shadowcat, a girl who can walk through walls. Other films she has appeared in are: An American Crime, Mouth to Mouth, Inception, Peacock, Super and Juno among several other films that have made her gain her popularity.
