A great personality Amitabh Harivansh Srivastav also known as Amitabh Bachchan is a famous actor in Indian film industry. He first gained reputation in the near the beginning 1970s as the great "angry young man" of Bollywood, and has performed in more than 180 Indian movies in the career spanning over four decades. Amitabh Bachchan is generally regarded as only of the utmost and most important actors in the record of Indian movie. Therefore total was his domination of the film scene in the period of 1970s and 1980s that François Truffaut the French director called him a "one-man industry".

Mr. Bachchan has won several major awards in his overall career, together with three Best Actor National Film Awards, several awards at the international award ceremonies and film festivals and total 14 Filmfare Awards. He is the much designated performer in any main category of the acting at Filmfare, with overall 39 nominations.
