Connie Nielsen mini bio: Connie Inge-Lise Nielsen was born on 3rd July 1965 in Frederikshavn, Denmark. She started her acting career in the local revue and variety scene. She became an actress and model in Paris, France when she was 18 years old. Later, she study at the drama school in Rome and took master classes in Milan. She starred as Christabella Andreoll in the film, The Devil's Advocate (1997). Her first breakthrough role in The Devil's Advocate led her to roles in other movies such as Permanent Midnight, Rushmore and Soldier in 1998. She became globally famous through her role as Lucilla in the film, Gladiator by Ridley Scott. After that, she also starred in many American films such as Mission to Mars (2000), The Hunted (2003), A Shine of Rainbows (2009) and etc. Her first appearance in a Danish film is the drama, Brødre (also known as Brothers). She received the Danish Best Actress Award for this film.
