Raoul Bova was born on 14th August 1971 in Rome to Calabrian parents. He received training in acting at Beatruce Braco in Rome. He joined the Italian army at the age of 21 years old. He was starred in the animated movie, Bolt alongside Miley Cyrus. His most famous movie is The Tourist (2010). The film received a box office of US$ 278 millions globally. He also appeared in other movies including Hercules (1999), The Fourth King (1997), and Piccolo Grande Amore (1993), Alien vs. Predator (2004), La nostra vita (2010), Ti presento un amico (2010), Baaria - La porta del vento (2009), Nessuno mi può giudicare (2011) and Il cecchino (2012). He rose to a star in Italy after filming Piccolo Grande Amore. However, he did not want to just be a sex symbol in movie. This led him to take up movie project that is more serious such as Rewind. He starred alongside with Madonna in the Max Factor commercial in 1999.
