Kate Elizabeth Winslet was born on October 5, 1975 in Reaching, Benkshire, England. She is a singer and actress. She has received several awards such as the Academy award for best actress for the film reader and British Academy Awards and two Emmy Awards. Her final film was Heavenly Creatures. Kate has got recognition for the Titanic film where she was playing the lead role. Films like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Quills, Little Children and Finding Neverland have seen her get nominated for several awards. She is the daughter of Rodger John Winslet, a swimming pool instructor and Sally Anne who is a barmaid. She starred in Hamlet and Jude. Kate got married to Jim Threapleton in 1998. Kate and Jim have a daughter called Mia Honey Threapleton. They got divorced in 2001 and Kate got into a relationship with Sam Mandes; she got married to Sam in 2003. They had a son Joe Alfie Winslet Mandes. They got divorced in 2010.
