Christoph Waltz was born on the 4th October 1956 in Vienna to Johannes Waltz and Elisabeth Urbancic. His father is of German ancestry while his mother is of Austrian ancestry. He had many supporting roles in the movies produced by American filmmaker Quentin Tarantino. He received many awards including Academy Award, BAFTA Award, Golden Globe Award, Best Actor Award and Screen Actors Guild Award. His primary residence is in London. However, he also had a residence in Berlin. In 2011, he received a role as Sigmund Freud in the movie, A Dangerous Method. Later, he turned down the role so that he could appear in the film, Water for Elephants. He is the first actor to have receive an Academy Award for his appearance in Quentin Tarantino. He is one of the 2 German actors to receive Academy Award. He has huge interest in opera. His favorite composer is Donizetti.
