Robert De Niro is an international icon known for his outstanding acting and direction skills. The American actor also produced several movies. Born in the year 1943, he played major roles in Mean Streets and Bang the Drum Slowly in the year 1973. He also acted some of the critical movies like The God Father II which fetched him the Academy Award for supporting actor.The movie "Raging Bull" brought him international status as he received Academy Award for the best actor. Some of the movies which were nominated for awards include Taxi Driver, Cape Fear etc. In 1990, he received BAFTA Award for Goodfellas. He received 4 nominations for his best performance in the movies Midnight Run, New York, Meet the Parents. He has received praise and accolades which include the AFI Life Achievement Award in the year 2003. Niro had a bad childhood as his parents had divorced when he was just three years old. He was brought up his mother completely.
